First Time Visitors
Visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. We get it.
At Community Church of Barrington we try to make every visitor feel like a regular with warm greetings, genuine welcome, and an accessible worship style. But we know you still may have some questions so this page is devoted to answering them.
What do I do when I get there?
If you are driving you can park on the street around the church. We also have a dedicated parking lot on the corner of Spring St. and Russell St. Wheelchair parking is located on
When you come in feel free to hang up your jacket in the Narthex. An usher will greet you and hand you a bulletin. They can also answer any questions you may have.
When you enter the sanctuary feel free to sit anywhere you like. Nobody has a claim on any of the pews.
What about my kids?
Kids are always welcome and beloved at CCB.
At the back entrance to the Sanctuary, you will find our "Kid's Table" full of pew activities that kids are welcome to bring into the Sanctuary to keep themselves occupied.
Most Sundays (Fall-Spring) there will be a Sunday School time during worship for kids ages 3-12. They will begin the worship time with the rest of the congregation. Then, after the Children's Message, they will be dismissed with the Sunday School teacher to head off to the classroom down the hall.
There is also a Nursery right outside the Sanctuary with a changing table and bathroom. Although there is not a dedicated attendant currently, a speaker is set up to pipe in the sound from worship.
